Viettel IDC Wins Prestigious Award at the ESG Business Awards 2024 in the “Sustainable Infrastructure Award” Category
Sep 30, 2024Hanoi, September 25, 2024 – Viettel IDC, the largest and greenest data center and cloud computing provider in Vietnam, has proudly won a prestigious award at the ESG Business Awards 2024 in the “Sustainable Infrastructure Award” category.

Recently, the ESG Business Awards, which honor businesses and organizations leading the charge in fostering positive social change and building a sustainable future in Asia, announced that Viettel IDC has won in the “Sustainable Infrastructure Award” category.
Viettel IDC was recognized by the award committee for its positive contributions in the areas of environment, society, and governance:
1. Optimizing Energy Use and Environmental Responsibility (E - Environment):
In 2023, Viettel IDC saved over 2.9 million KWh of electricity, reduced more than 2,100 tons of CO2 emissions, and achieved ISO 50001:2018 and ISO 14001:2025 certifications for environmental management. Notably, 100% of Viettel IDC staff use virtual computers on the cloud platform, reducing electricity consumption by 88% and equivalent electronic waste equivalent to 500 PC/laptops.
2. Enhancing Community Responsibility (S - Society):
Viettel IDC is committed to enhancing its community responsibility through the support and development of social projects, contributing to positive change. 100% of employees at Viettel IDC have their personal data protected, and in 2023, the company introduced 370 new initiatives. Remarkably, 97.72% of customers expressed satisfaction with Viettel IDC's services and products.
3. Transparent and Responsible Governance (G - Governance):
Viettel IDC has achieved ISO/IEC 22301:2019 certification for business continuity management, ISO 27018:2019 for personal data protection in cloud storage, and ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety management.
This award reinforces Viettel IDC’s pioneering position in implementing ESG initiatives while solidifying its sustainable development goals in line with Vietnam's commitments at COP26.
